Quick, friendly answers to help you understand how recycled signs work, what to expect, and how this helps your nonprofit (and the planet).
Is this program free?
Many requests can be fulfilled at no cost depending on recycled inventory and production capacity. Optional add-ons like stakes, shipping, or rush production may have a cost.
Who qualifies?
Verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. We may request your EIN and/or proof of nonprofit status during the request process.
What sizes are available?
Sizes depend on recycled stock availability. Common sizes include 18×24 and 24×36. If you’re flexible, we can usually fulfill requests faster.
What can we use recycled yard signs for?
Fundraisers, donation drives, event directions, check-in areas, sponsorship recognition, volunteer recruitment, awareness campaigns, and community calls-to-action.
How long does it take?
Turnaround depends on inventory and production volume. After approval, we’ll share an estimated timeline and confirm available sizes/quantities.
What’s printed on the back?
The back includes a small sponsor message (example: “Need custom signs? Call UZ Marketing…”). This helps keep the program available for more nonprofits.
What are the benefits of using recycled signs?
Recycled signs help stretch your budget, reduce waste, and keep reusable panels out of the landfill. You still get a clean look because we apply a black base coat to block old graphics, then print your design in white ink for strong contrast.
Will the old design show through?
No — we apply a black base coat designed to block the previous print. Then we print your artwork in white ink for bold visibility.
Can we request multiple designs?
Yes. If you need multiple designs (different messages, arrows, locations), include that in your request notes. Multiple designs may affect timing depending on volume.
Do you provide stakes or hardware?
Stakes and hardware may be available as an add-on depending on your needs. Tell us how you plan to install the signs and we’ll advise.
Can the signs be resold?
No. Recycled signs are provided for nonprofit use (events, fundraising, outreach, awareness) and cannot be resold.
What do you need from us to start?
Organization name, contact info, proof of 501(c)(3), requested quantity, preferred size (if any), and artwork (or a short description of what you want on the sign).
What kind of artwork files should we send?
Vector is best (AI, EPS, PDF). High-resolution PNGs can work too. If you don’t have artwork ready, send your text, logo, and a reference style.
Can we include sponsor logos or event partner logos on the front?
Usually yes, as long as the sign is primarily supporting your nonprofit purpose (fundraiser, awareness, event, etc.). Add notes and we’ll confirm what’s possible.
